That was insanely enlightening. Except, did anyone catch that Josh sort of called Ben stupid? Or maybe I just read it the wrong way... who knows, haha. I'm SOOO looking forward to this show. whew

What? Where did Josh say that Benjamin is stupid? Maybe a little burnt out... Oh Benjamin. This is my favorite quote: "It's really hard to be in a band with us because we're really smart." HAH! But I guess it's totally true, they are both really smart.

I hardly think that he was implying that Benjamin was stupid. I believe he was implying that most of the other musicians they would have to try to replace Benjamin with are stupid. (And hey, having been a session player in NYC, yeah, most of them are.)
The interview did set me rather more at ease though. I mean, Benjamin has spent his entire life, since he was a teenager, playing in other people's (usually people with incredibly strong personalities) bands. He's an incredibly talented and creative person, sooner or later he's going to want to do his own thing, express his own creativity.
So, you know, I fully support him in that.

I was the one who interviewed Josh-He was in no way saying Ben was stupid-He was simply saying He and Brandon were smart and know what they like and want to accomplish-and someone new might not fit into that vision-I think anyways.
I am just very happy they are continuing and am psyched to be heading to NYC to see the band at High Line Ballroom.

I'm with you! It looks so promising, new songs and all... But I don't live on the good side of the ocean for that. I really like how they decided to go on as a duo rather than trying to find someone else, and just tried to take Benjamin's departure as a positive move rahther than the end of the band.

I am sorry to have interupted you. I was being overzelous in my quest to get a set list.
