And Josh will continue to blow everyone away with his drumming!

We've already been told, they are enthusiastic and like the new sound! They've come so far, they wouldn't throw it away right before they hit it big!

This bit of a detour may be the one thing that makes the band lose any inhibitions and just totally go for it and really explore what they can do! It can be a good thing!

Remember, Brandon Silvertooth once said in an interview that limitations can force you to have to be more creative and explore what you can do!

Yeah, I'm actually kind of looking forward to see what they do with these new limitations. At first I was upset, but now I'm definitely excited to see where they go with this.

Also, I think they should keep the name. They've built a reputation with the name. I'd imagine that maybe they could rework some of the old songs to be just piano, I'm sure it's not impossible.

regardless I'm gonna buy whatever brandon and josh put out (and probably ben's aswell...even though I'm mad at dude - that's dedication lol!) but I'm mourning the death of TSM AS WE KNOW IT...imo one of the best bands doing it and soon to be (if they continued) one of the best bands soon to enter mainstream but now...I dunno

ok ok i'm gonna take your advice and imagine the new TSM as sorta like The Pumpkins when they did Adore and lost Jimmy...they resorted to a drum machine and stripped out the distortion on record. perhaps Brandon will create some type of arena Rhodes sound like Keane? but I DON'T WANT KEANE, I WANT TSM!

even then that idea in my head sounds like an acoustic record or just incredibly arty (NTTAWWT)...what's gonna fill that hole?

Yes, nii-o, I believe that if the band doesn't become discouraged by the loss, Brandon and Josh will make an awesome record!

Maybe they will share some of the new demos with us. And remember, they can also get guest musicians to record with them as well!

It still all kind of shocks me. You have to respect Benjamin though for what he's doing. Im sure he will show up everyonce and a while for TSM stuff.

I think that Brandon and Josh will come up with something that will be good. Both of them are extremely talented. You gotta have good hope for them, just think if they read all the replies. So send them good vibes.

And who knows that might get another guitar player. if they do great, and if not great. Those will be some hard shoes to fill though. What ever the case may be i hope the best.

I've kind of stopped being upset by it, and looking forward to the future.

Like I said, when Spacemen 3 split, I was devastated, but within a year, both Spectrum and Spiritualized had released GREAT albums. So I'm not thinking of this as losing anything - instead, I now have TWO great bands to follow, with TWICE AS MUCH GOOD MUSIC.

I'm sure that what Brandon and Josh come up with will be amazing. It might not be the same as what it was before, but I'm confident in their musical and songwriting abilities. And ditto for School of Seven Bells.

So really, the sadness has passed and now I realise A WINNER IS ME!!! - twice as much music to love.

This new TSM shall be interesting. New album will probably sound different. I'm intriged. And yet quite sad. I'll have break out my black clothes for mourning. And then go give School of Seven Bells an actual good listen. See if it really is a good band... eh.

that is perhaps the saddest news ive heard in a while =( i just happen to look on wikipedia for some info and saw "Former members" and now im sad. im just glad i saw them do the best show ive ever seen this year in Philly. i even got to interview josh for school's radio station!

I know School of Seven Bells will be great so I wish you the best Ben but you will be missed alot.

And Brandon and Josh, I know you guys will still be amazing. I can't wait to hear what you guys come out with. and if you need a new guitarist, ill do it!!! =P haha.
